This is the second release for Eric Gebhardt, aka Red Mouth, that I created the design for. This EP was recorded during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic while most everyone was distancing. As noted on the back of the album, it was made by any means necessary, with much of the tracking recorded at home and with band members recording their parts independently. When asked to create the artwork for this, I wanted to try to capture that aesthetic by creating a cover that looked somewhat handmade, while also retaining a bit of the punk rock attitude that provides the foundation for much of Eric’s music. Shortly before working on this, I had taken some press photos for him and ended up using one of those outtakes for the cover, and I ran it through a scanner and re-printed it several times to achieve a degraded photocopy look. This was such a fun project to work on.
